Hi,

I have two children and am trying for a third. This is the 4th month - normally only takes me 4 at most to get pregnant (had 2 miscarriages as well.)

The thing is this month my cm has been ewcm for a week now. I don't chart or do temps as would make me more paranoid, but i'm sure ewcm doesn't usually last this long - normally maybe 5 days.

My dh and i have been bding every day since i've got ewcm. He's not ecstatic about doing it so much!! but every time i say this will be the last night, the following night i've still got ewcm.

I've just googled it and freaked myself out as it says that if you get ewcm for too long you haven't ovulated. I did get ovulation pain on one side yesterday, so assumed that was going to be it, but i've still got some ewcm this morning. It's not a huge amount, but enough to be able to see. Can someone please put my mind at rest that this is normal - or do i need to see someone to check ovulation is happening.

Thank you xx

I would assume your body geared up to O and had some hesitation and then geared up again and actually ovulated. That is probably why you've had EWCM for a while. Once you felt the O pains I'm sure you O'd and there is probably some left over today which will probably start to go away. I wouldnt worry too much about it. EWCM is definitely good for TTC!

Good luck!

Do you think the pain is a good sign for ovulation?? I've never had a problem conceiving before and don't know if you would have pain if you haven't ovulated.

I always get ewcm for several days before ovulation. The cramps are a great sign. I definitely ovulate too, as I chart to confirm. Do you know what day you are in your cycle and how long they usually are?

thanks calliebaby, the first day of last period was 20th sept. Cycles usually 28 days, but last month was 27. So i guess i'm on day 18? Pain was yesterday absolutely no idea what's going on as thought this would have been way too late to ovulate.

Ovulation calculators on internet say going on a 27/28 day cycle i should have ovulated on either friday or saturday. My pain started yesterday (sunday). Still have really really mild - wouldn't even call it pain, but just a bit tender ovaries this afternoon.

What on earth is going on??? Would appreciate any advice, but don't chart etc. so probably hard to know what's going on! xx
