So I felt super crampy yesterday almost pre-AF, I’ve never had ovulation pains before but felt funny so used a OPK, and it was positive?!

My baby is only 4.5 months and exclusively breastfed. With my past children my periods didn’t return until they were past a year old. (I don’t pump or use bottles, I always just breastfed the normal way.)

Is it likely that’s a true positive OPK and I’ve just ovulated and should expect AF in around 2 weeks time? Or are hormones just out of whack?

Thanks xx

I would say that's a true positive. When I tested with an opk at that stage the line was barely visible. Good luck!

Thank you, ahh I hope it’s not! I’ve never had a period until at least a year after baby was born always took it as one of the perks of BFing, I’ll be gutted if AF shows I think judging by my tests it looks likely? X

UPDATE - turned out it was a true positive I got AF not long after! Can’t believe it after BFing hoped she’d stay away until at least a year PP x
