I wanna start exercising but have a couple questions.
1)Is it safe to do various abdominal exercises such as crunches, sit ups, or trunk twists with resistance both during and after ovulation to implantation? I know it's not safe to do such exercises once preg.....
2)Is it safe to do seated leg press with weights during and after ovulation to implantation? I know once preg it is unsafe to do that.....
Any advice?
I know in general it is safe to do a lot of high intensity exercises from AF to ovulation but back down to moderate/medium intesnity after ovulation....

I think a lot of it is personal choice and how comfortable you feel. But you absolutely can exercise through pregnancy if you feel OK to do so and there are no medical reasons not to!

A friend of mine carried on doing cross fit well into her pregnancy, including all stomach exercises and baby is a happy and healthy 8 months now! I do body pump with a lady who is 5 months pregnant. She's incredible at plank but doesn't do sit ups. She does everything else though, squats (holds weights rather than on her back), lunges, upper body etc.

I don't like to put my life on hold while TTC so I'm carrying on with regular weight training and HITT. I workout 4/5 times a week. I think it's perfectly safe.. Hopefully, if/when I'm lucky enough to get a positive pregnancy test, I'm planning to adjust as I'm feeling I think .. If I feel well enough, I intend to carry on with body pump like my classmate (although I can't plank like her sans baby lol). And drop HIIT and do more moderate cardio like swimming!

There is some good reading if you google :)

Oh, and I also try to always remind myself that many people have surprise pregnancies and carry on doing totally normal life until a couple weeks past a missed period! Generally, they go on to have healthy babies! I'm sure plenty have been out there running, swimming, riding roller coasters etc! :)

Yes, you can definitely continue any kind of exercise while TTC. My understanding is the only thing to be concerned with would be excessive working out resulting in extremely low body fat. We need some body fat for hormones.

Very true! I've noticed over the last couple years that when Ive decided to limit my calories (plus exercise), I have really delayed ovulation... now we are TTC, I will be keeping my calories up!

(I type as I'm eating a magnum :-D)
