Most Doc's will tell you to wait a couple (2) of weeks. I'm sure walking wouldn't hurt, or just light exercise. I wouldn't lift anything over 10lbs for a good 2 weeks, could increase bleeding. If you feel up to it, but if you start notice your bleeding is getting heavier or cramping more I would stop!
I went for a run 5 days afters! Ooops! I'm a bit of a gym bunny, and was back at my circuits classes a week later! Like you I need the exercise/endorphins to make me feel better.
