Hi girls,

Just looking for some advice in relation to my 2nd FS appointment next week. I decided to book it privately so I've got a week to get myself organised with what I want to ask.

It's a review app. but I've only had bloods done and DH had an S.A done. We haven't been given the results of any of these.

Most of you ladies appear to have alot more done than this in time for ur review. Has anybody been in a similar situation to me??

I think I ovulate very irregulary so Im just wondering if FS can put me on clomid (as discussed at first appointment) without any other tests such as ovary scans etc.

Any advice or opinions is greatly appreciated :hugs:

Hi, I've noticed a real difference in what is done when depending on where you live in the UK.

We had all our tests done prior to our 1st FS appointment where FS confirmed the results and also booked me in for a Lap and dye test.

I think if they were to offer you more tests such as lap and dye or scans then it would be a good idea just to rule out any potential problems before taking clomid.

But everyone is different and you need to do what you feel is best for you - good luck with your appointment x

Hiya missus

I am delighted that you decided to go down this road - it will certainly save time waiting. When I got to this stage I'd already had my HSG, swabs, and internal scan done, so I'm not sure whether you'll be prescribed clomid without having at least these tests done. There's no point in putting chemicals into your body if you've got a blocked tube and your eggie can't get anywhere...

If it were me, I'd just ask the consultant what he feels the next step needs to be, and how long it's going to take. Also, if the wait is too long, can he organise the tests privately.

Hope that is of some benefit. Good luck for next week...

xx

I thought it was a bit strange too that I've had so little tests done.

On the other hand, it's pretty obvious that my problem is down to irregular ovulation. Hopefully FS will just cut out all the crap and get me onto the fertility drugs asap lol
