*experts when can my freind test

hiya all one of my freinds is in a situation when she doesnt know when she can test she was due on her period on the 7th of september same as me but she didnt have a period she was loosing bits ofbrown sludgy old type of blood but not enought to fill a pad this was bits over 2 days so not a period but now she said she knows she ovalted on sunday as she was loosing like a clear snotty jelly when she wiped and this went on untill next day if she did ovalate on sunday and has been bding every day since and 3 days before she lost the brown sludge when would be the best time for her to test AND WOULD THAT MAKE HER 4DPO

she should take a test at about 14dpo and she is 3-4 dpo since she had the same discharge for 2 days she might not have ovulated until monday
