Extreme nipple pain during pregnancy

Hi
I am 30 years old 7 months pregnant with twins. This is my first pregnancy.
Last 3 months I have been experiencing big pain in my nipples. Its a very sharp pain and it usually lasts 1-2 minutes , it happens 10-20 times a day.When it comes the area around the nipple gets a spasm. Rubbing around the nipple area helps. Warm doesnt help neither cold neither the nipple cremes.
sometimes it happens on both nipples and sometimes only one.
I also have discharge since last 2 months.
I have consulted my ob gyn dr but she said i am fine, but when i ask this to other women they said they never had such a nipple pain
Any one has any idea what my problem might be

Didn't want to read & run. Have you checked in the breastfeeding section? I remember sharp pains in breast when breastfeeding mine sometimes. Maybe someone knows more down there.

I have it often this pregnancy, im producing a fair bit of colostrum. It actually feels a little like the let down feeling you get when you're breast feeding. It can be very painful at times.
