Any one else currently experiencing this? I never had it last time until i was like 35 weeks. I'm not even 24 weeks yet! It's driving me nuts! It even hits me when I'm sitting down! I can't finish a long sentence without stopping to take a breath. And my job, I constantly walk around! Tonight, I've had a awful time with it. :/ I mentioned it to my doctor my last visit, but she told me it was hormones and that was it. Pretty much told me if I stop breathing all together to go to the hospital (Duh). It's not painful, just have a mini panic attack when I can't seem to get a breath sometimes and catch myself holding my chest. I don't like this! Any one else experiencing this? Should I get a second opinion?

I'm feeling like this tonight. Not so bad that I'm worrying, but it's definitely something I don't remember feeling until much later last time. I was just reading stories at bedtime and I had to keep taking extra breaths where I never do. I changed into loose jammies and I feel a bit better.

I think as long as you just feel the shortness of breath that comes with being (more heavily) pregnant, I wouldn't worry too much, personally. If you feel like an elephant is on your chest type pressure, then, yeah, I'd seek a second opinion.

Feel better!

Went through a couple days of something similar and it wound up being a virus. Was NOT fun.

I have this on and off and it really panics me. It gives me a horrible light headed feeling but I'm sure its just another horrible pregnancy thing x

Could you be anemic? I found I was getting really short of breath as I was nearing the end of second tri and then my 28 weeks routine bloods showed up I was anemic. I was put on iron tablets and within a couple of weeks my shortness of breath and fatigue had vanished. Even now at 38 weeks, I don't feel that short of breath compared to the second tri.

I actually went to my other doctor the next day. That night I was miserable. (waking up when I turned and I couldn't breathe just moving). The doctor told me it could be my iron levels and to get some blood work done. Which I did Wednesday afternoon. I guess I would have heard something by now if it I was anemic. Who knows. :/ I feel better today. I still feel like I'm uncomfortable but no one near I was the other day.

I'm like this a lot already have been for weeks. I was told it's just because baby's moving all organs upwards and it's putting extra pressure on my our diaphragms
:-/ not fun i can barely move and I'm panting xx

I had this and still do. Might be worth checking your heart sometimes pregnancy y stresses the heart etc. speak to your Dr... Not to alarm you but there's a condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy. I didn't end up having this and I'm sure u won't either just something to look into if you are really bothered and out of breath xx

Do you have anxiety at all? I get really short of breath when having anxiety. And feel like I need to yawn but can't it's not fun.

Yes! And I get the same thing when I try to yawn, then I end up attempting to yawn all morning until I get one out. So annoying!

As for Anxiety, I do have it. Actually, the day before I found out I was pregnant, I had a severe panic attack at my work in my office. Luckily only one person witnessed it and I scared her to death. I think a lot (95% of it) of it is my work. Which I'm stepping down from a manager starting Dec 5th (completely my idea, not my work). I don't want to deal with it the farther along I am pregnant (I'm over about 40 people and I'm 24 years old, so I feel like I get a lot of crap for being younger then almost my entire staff). I'm also getting placed in a location about 8 minutes from my home instead of 45-50 minutes. I will lose a little bit of pay (losing 13% of it), however, I think it's going to be well worth it for me. Plus I'll save money in gas and less taxes. :) I'm looking forward to it.

Right! About a week ago, i actually gave up getting ready for work and left how I was. I couldn't barely brush my hair (which is ridiculously long) because I was panting! I've NEVER done that. Then I chopped my hair off the next day to my shoulders, lol. I think this pregnancy is going to really put a beating on me.
My OB told me it could be hormones called Progesterone. I looked it up, it's possible. I just don't like hearing it's just hormones lol. :haha:
