Eye Color Change

Hi Ladies!

Just curious to know when (or if) your baby's eyes changed color - and if it was a gradual change or just a pretty much overnight change.

My LO is 6 weeks old and her eyes are still blue. As much as I hope they stay blue, I seriously doubt they will stay that way. Just curious when I might expect a change and when everyone else experienced a change.

I'd like to know this myself... my LO was born with dark blue/grey eyes... and they are still the same color, just a bit lighter... and she just turned 3 months. I'm hoping they stay blue/grey like my eyes

Thomas is almost 23 weeks and I can't say I've noticed his eyes changing colour yet. They're still blue.

Thomas was born with dark brown eyes, they are still brown but the outsides have gone a greenish grey. Mine (and all my family) are blue, his dads are hazel as are his parents. I expect they'll go hazel? So still changing at over a year old here.

Just found this site online... kinda interesting. It would seem that their eye color should be pretty stable by around 6 months of age... but can be up to a year or so depending...

Emily is 5 weeks (6 weeks on Saturday) they are blue around the edge, but are starting to go darker. I am sure they will be brown as we both have brown eyes. They started changing at 4 weeks.

Will is 4 months and he was born with greyish blue eyes. They are getting a bit more darker blue very gradually and are a lot darker around the edges. I have blue eyes and my hubby has hazel. But blue is dominant as my entire side of the family has blue - on my mom's and my dad's side!

My little girl had dark blue eyes when she was born, after about 15mths they started to change Colour to a hazel just like her dad. My little boy is 25wks now and has piercing blue eyes so hoping they stay like that to b like mummy as both kids look like dad lol

My LO is 5 months and still has her blue eyes. Me and DH both have brown eyes so I'm expecting them to change but if anything they're getting lighter

She's also going blond but me and DH are both dark haired. Weird!

The eyes will usually take their permanent color after 9 months. I have brown eyes and my DH has light blue eyes. Was a bit surprised when my LO was born with dark blue eyes but I suspected they were the "newborn blue". Now they're a lighter blue with a ring of brown in the middle! I love them!

Cool pics, x_amour! Issy's eyes are somewhere in the middle of those two pics. I'm not sure if they're still newborn blue or if they're her dad's colour (he has dark blue/grey eyes).

My son was born premature at 28 weeks 3 days. Now he is 3 months 28 days
1 month 10 days adjusted age, and his eyes havent change much. What do you think?

neither of mine's changed just got a tiniest bit lighter, they both have bright blue eyes x

My LO was born with dark gray/blue eyes - they've slightly gone dark green with a hint of gray/brown round the edges.

DH has green eyes and i've got brown eyes... hope they stay the colour that they are

My LO was born with blue eyes and they started to change around 3 months and are now very dark grey/blue with brown bits. I think they will eventually go brown. I read somewhere that eye colour can continue to change for the first few years!
