I was expecting my period on mondau july 2nd. I had some spotting starting on the first. It is now july 3 and i still have spotting. It is only when I wipe, it was brownish the first time but now is light pink. the hpts i took all came back with faint positives. ive taken tests on sat sun mon and today. sat and sunday both had faint positives, mon i couldnt tell and today (tuesday) had another faint positive. IVe been to the hospital they did blood work and ultrasounds. I dont have the results from the blood work back yet. the ultrasound was inconclusive, which is what i expected because I would only be just going on 4 weeks pregnant. I dont have any cramps. My period is usually quite heavy./ I am just really confused about what is going on. My fiance went and opened his big mouth at his bachelor party that I thought I was pregnant and now I am so scaried if I am going to m/c. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience when it comes to this. I am waiting for the phone call from the docs but the suspense is killing me. I am suposed to have another u/s next monday july 9. But I can't understand that either since i would only be 5 weeks.
Please help!

I've heard implantation spotting can last for 3 days. Please try to hang in there. These early weeks are so hard and confusing. I will keep you in my thoughts. Please keep as posted. Good luck and lots of sticky baby dust :dust:

Thank you for the encouraging words. I am still spotting so this will be day 4 now. I am feeling very bloated but I don't have any cramping and the bleeding is very faint pink and seems to mixed in with vaginal discharge. ( I appologhize if this is tmi). I still haven't got a call back about my blood test or to schedule my ultrasound. I know I am stressing too much but I am really wanting this baby.

It's annoying but all you can do is wait. Blood tests today will differ from in a few days time anyway, you need to see if u still get a bfp in a few days time..
Waiting is awful I know, just take it easy, rest if you can xxx

I was spotting a couple of days before my BFP and it continued on for several days (and has happened a few times since) and I am definitely pregnant! It could be implantation bleeding or break-through bleeding that happens when you're period's due and your body is still kicking into gear to send out the messages to kick into pregnancy mode and out of period mode (and some people get a little of this at 8 and 12 weeks also, when their periods would be due). It's also possible that it was a chemical pregnancy, where you get pregnant but things don't work out and you just get your period a few days late, but I wouldn't go jumping to that conclusion yet.

Are you using the same type of test each time? I was getting hardly there lines on internet cheapies but a very strong positive on an expensive test that was meant to be less sensitive. Try using the same test and see if the line gets darker. When go you get your bloods back? Good luck :flower:

Hi sarahsolomon! I am 8 weeks pregnant now and my AF was due on June 4th, however I started spotting 2 days before and the spotting continued for just over a week. It was light brown, and i really only saw it when i wiped (sorry for tmi!). But it did get darker for about a day or so, so I had to wear a panty liner.

I was on an IUI cycle so didn't do any hpt's but did have my blood done and the pregnancy confirmed on 4th.

Good luck and try not to worry!

Hello Ladies,
I got a very heavy period today. Which I am assuming since it is a few days late this makes it a chemical pregnancy? I don't know much about them but I feel like this is what it was. SOOOOOO depressing. My fiance and I are getting married July 28th but it is so hard to be excited now since this. I didn't think I would be this bummed out but reality hits hard. I guess we will try again. What does this mean for my cycle then? Is it going to be thrown off now?

I'm sorry to hear that :hugs: I know it doesn't help, but chemical pregnancies are quite common and it doesn't mean you'll have any issues next time. I'm not sure what it means for your cycle, sorry. Maybe some of the other ladies will know.

oh i'm so sorry to hear that!! I don't know how a chemical affects your cycle but I have also heard that they are quite common.

I know its easy for me to say, but please don't be sad. Your wedding is fast approaching and it will be a beautiful day when you and your new hubby celebrate your love for each other. That love will get you through anything and I know your journey to be parents will be a successful one!

Thank you all for your support. I have a 4 year old daughter (from a previous relationship if you can even call it that) and we are trying to prepare her for the possibility of a sibling. Today she says to me: "Mommy I want you to have a baby in your belly" This is the first time she has said this and it gives me hope. It also reminds me to enjoy the moments I have with her. I know Gods plan for us is perfect. <3
