In need of serious reassurance.

I tripped and fell this evening and managed to twist myself so I fell on my hip and arm instead of my front. Now I'm having minor pain in my abdomen and tightness.

Called the midwife and she said I probably pulled a muscle in my abdomen with twisting on my landing and to call back if the pain gets worse or I spot. I'm stressing so bad and trying to tell myself its one moment at a time.

I got out my Doppler and heard baby which calmed me a bit but would love positive words.

Your baby is so cushioned in there that it would take the force of a car accident to even harm him or her. You're fine hun. Put your feet up, take a warm bath, and try not to worry. Your body is made to protect that baby, right now that's it's only purpose, it's what it's made for, and it will do it's job like the well oiled machine it is ♡♡♡

Thank you Mammag! I'm trying to relax. I feel so guilty calling the midwife after hours since I just called them earlier this week to spotting. Ugh I wish December was here already, I never knew I would be such a worry wart through pregnancy.

I agree, I'm sure baby is just perfect and I bet he or she never felt a thing, pregnancy does strange things to us and I'm sure you'll worry about everything until your baby is in your arms, even then the worrying doesn't stop, this is just the beginning :haha:

Try and relax and just put your feet up baby will be grand x

I've always been told baby is super cushioned and not to worry about toddler kicks and elbows etc. Agree with other posters I would worry if I'd been in a car crash and the seat belt had pulled on bump but trips and tumbles are actually more common in pregnancy as your centre of gravity moves a bit... (according to my midwife) who reassured me I would not be a clutz forever!!
xx

I'm sorry about your fall Mrs.Dragonfly, but as everyone else has said, I'm sure the baby is cushioned in there and didn't feel a thing!
You could always ask for a scan if you feel it will help calm you <3
Take Monday off, rest, feet up and hope you feel better soon.
December will be here soon and then the real worrying will begin! :hugs:

You poor thing. Sounds painful. I'm sure baby is fine though. I fell off my high heels at 21 weeks pregnant with my eldest, did just like you did and landed on my hip. My son was absolutely fine.

Agree, thinking baby is okay...your body is meant to protect against things like this but couldn't hurt to have a scan and ease your mind. Hope you recover well!

So sorry to hear of your fall! :( Take it easy, I fell around 20 weeks or so, didn't hit my belly but I fell hard onto my hands and knees. My husband is very cautious as he knows how clumsy I already am. I asked my doctor and got the same response, if I feel a lack of movement, see spotting or have severe abdominal cramping (or even cramping that lasts) I should go. So far, things are okay.

I had a full blown violent seizure at 16 weeks due to dehydration.
My lo was just fine.
As others have said baby is really cushioned in there. I'm sure baby is perfect.
Try not to worry.

I'm sure everything will be fine. I agree with PP, your body is made to protect baby. Just be on the lookout for spotting or severe pain. Good luck!

Thank you ladies for your reassuring words! Still a little sore in my shoulder and hip but tummy is feeling just fine :) I typed a longer response earlier but my phone deleted it!:grr:

Just cm starting back up again so I'm feeling relieved that my spotting didn't come back since I had that last week after moving.
