my eldest is getting 1 for xmas and he will be 7. i said no for the past 2 yrs as he wasnt old enough. my neighbours son got 1 at 4 and was forever asking for help as he didnt understand, know what he was doing etc. plus the size of the screen i didnt think it a good idea as i dont want his sight affected.
I wanted to at 3 but my friend got her one for her 4th birthday! They really are amazing and worth getting! The games for there age teach them so much! She has learnt to add numbers and knows a few times tables! I recommend ' I did it mum'
She also has learnt to write as they have a spelling one too and you copy the writing on the pad with the pen
no he didnt ask for one.. and it wasnt me who wanted to get him one.. my MIL asked if she could. if it was up to me i wouldnt have got him one till he was older.
I have been swaying between this and the Leap Frog one, Chloe was 3 in August, I dont want to pay £50 for the LF one for her and it not be great when the DS is only £99. She has played with my Grans alot, might just get it now, I think x
