Sometimes when I am resting I get this feeling like I've just run a marathon! My heart is beating so fast! It's almost exactly how I feel when I am nervous or scared but I'm not! I don't really konw how to explain it any better. :nope: Just a REALLY rapid heartbeat that makes me feel lightheaded and outta breath.

anyone experience anything similar???

I had a rapid heartbeat at some point, like tachycardia , but it didn't come with dizziness. I can often hear my heartbeat in my ear so I am very aware when my heartbeat gets quicker. I was told its normal that the heart has to pump a lot more blood, always good to reassure yourself with your doctor/midwife though :flower:

Yup, usually at some point daily. I was told it due to the increase in blood volume and perfectly normal.

Yep I get it too. Especially if I'm lay on my back, it's not a pleasant feeling but doesn't usually last that long.

I get this all the time even now its so annoying but iv had plenty of ecgs it must justs be normal x

I get this. Often after I eat! Normal apparently... Feels like a train thundering through my chest :)

I get it as well and it's always when I have finally sat down for a rest!

I'm glad you asked this! It happened to me for the first time last night while I was just laying in bed and it scared me! I turned onto my side and it calmed down after a while.

I've had this as well and been told it is normal due to the increase of blood flow.

Yeah, I was told a slight increase is normal but I decided to check my pulse and it was 120bpm! The normal female hr is 75bpm. A pregnancy hr can be 80-90 bpm due to excess blood volume. I hope that is all this is but I'm gonna mention this to my doc but my next appointment is 20 days away!!
glad to hear its not just me and hopefully can be normal.

Yeah I get this too also when I'm lay down resting I can hear the heart pumping loudly I can sometimes hear it in my ears x

I get this and was told it's normal - feels like I've overdone the caffeine when really my heart is just having a moment! xx

I get this too after eating breakfast. So glad to read it's normal!

with ds2 when i had one of my hospital appointments my pulse was 124.. iwas put straight onto heart thingy but they never did anything else about it  i think its totally normal unless it goes waaayy above where it should be. My friends at one point was 220! she was hospitalized for a week and reffered to a cardiologist but turned out everything was fine :) xx
