Fathers!

i'm 20 but still consider myself a teenager, and i've had enough of my father! my mother is gettin over the shock and everything and she's ok with it obviously still dissapointed but she's coping with it. my father on the other hand just offers sly digs all the time like "you cant do this..." and "you'll never be able to do that now" wtf? why wouldn't i???????? people do things when they are pregnant and when they are mothers! ARGH! life doesn't end if just changes!!!!

My dad was the same I got to the point where i had to move in with my BF for about 2 months until i saw them again.
It was mostly my dad though...my mum was upset but she got over it.
Its been about a month since i first saw them and they're quite fine with it now.
Give it some time

My parent's have been ok and relatively supportive it was my ex that kept saying basically ur life is over, you can't do this you won't be able to do that but like you say just because I'm having a baby doesn't mean my life has to stop I'll still be able to do things, yea it's going to change but not end. x

I had this problem when I was pregnant. My mum came around my dad however was a different story. My dad never said anything nice to me until he found out my baby had little chance of survival when i was 20 weeks pregnant. It annoys me that it took something so horrible for him to come around. But hes great with kyle now, kind of gets to me when I see him with him, but ah well. I hope he comes around soon x

I have experienced this from my grandma!! always saying 'its only going to get worse' etc etc!!

My dad doesnt know yet so god only knows his reaction!!

I'm in the EXACT same situation. My grandma is being horrible about everything, and my dad doesn't know yet. My mums super excited now though


I hope your dad grows up though. it's hard enough being pregnant without them being nasty.

Yeah my mom says stuff like that all the time. I've just learnt to ignore it! I don't think he means it in a horrible way, they're just trying to tell you that you'retaking on a big responsiblity. My mom is *CONVINCED* I 'don't know what I'm letting myself in for'. Just ignore it.
