fed up with my boobs!

just a quick one before i go to bed.

my milk came in a couple of days after having jessica and now a week on they still hurt and still full not to mention humongous! (literally can fit both hands over one df isnt complaining though!) i did ask for tablets to stop my milk coming through but they told me they dont give them to ladies under 20 weeks (or was it 24 i cant remember).

i thought by now they would of realised theres no baby to feed and gone back to normal stupid body! x

Im so sorry when Alex died I found this really hard cuz I knew I should be feeding my baby and my body knew that too. It made life feel even more cruel. I know they dont like to openly give the tablets out as your better off without them if you can manage but i think thats silly them not giving them just because your baby was born under a certain gestation. If your boobs are full theyre full what difference does it make, but thats just my opinion and im sure there must be a medical reason for it. I made a thread about this in this section, a lot of ladies said a really really tight bra helps (which it did for me) and also cabbage leaves (i think it was) but I didnt fancy the idea of that one so couldnt tell you if it works or not lol. I had this problem! I am actually small chested and I loved having my big boobs (another thing I miss..you seen them in my pregnancy pics....well they are NOTHING like that now) and I remember when my milk camee in, they were solid and so sore...another stab in the heart....another reminder of what I had lost I didnt get offered the tablet either and I was just under 25 weeks....its silly because your still producing milk so they should still have given you tablets...

thanks ladies its horrible isnt it. as if it isnt bad enough that we lose our babies but then doctors expect us to deal with our bodies doing this while we are still grieving. i think if they havent gone down in another week or so i'll see my doctor.

hayley i've tried the tight bra thing to no avail and i dont like the idea of cabbage leaves either lol. x
