Feel like its a dumb question but I've never done this...

So Brianna's pediatrician told us to start her on baby cereal with a spoon not in her bottle but thats pretty much all she said...other than to only give it to her once a day until she's 4 months then give her more

The first time we did it it wasn't too bad she seemed a little confused and spit alot out but other than that did fine we gave her 2 1/2 teaspoons

So my question is how much should we be giving her and is there a time of day that would be best for it? Like first feeding lunch etc... once again sorry for the dumb question but i've never had to do this before and feel completely lost

Is there a reason for weaning so soon?

She'll only take how much she wants, and I would start with lunch, I don't think there's any rules on which meal first x

The only reason for milk so soon is because she had gone to 7 6oz feeds a day because she was still hungry and her pediatrician said that if we start her on cereal that that will drop that 7th bottle at least which it did the first day. Plus she said that since she'll be 4 months soon anyway its not going to hurt her to start now since she's "ready"

We started a week over 4 months and just gave her a spoon a day. She really loved it and we just went with her. She now has vegis and fruit and is loving this stage. She has cut down her milk too which she needed as was approaching needing 9 oz bottles so we had to get the weaning underway.
Just enjoy it and just move with your baby, she'll soon let you know

I was told to do the cereal in the morning after their longest sleep (overnight).. first feed if they'll take it, or after a bottle if they insist on having that first?

But I'm not weaning so IDK.
