Sorry I don't know how to better put this, but when I lay flat on my back I can feel little lumps under my skin. Mostly just above my belly button. The lumps don't always seem to be in the exact same position so I wonder if this could be the baby. Is he solid and big enough to be felt on the outside in certain positions? I am 18 +3 now.

I read online yesterdatly under 18-19 weeks ..partners may start to feel outsidw movement..and mum may be able to tell elbows and feet

I had a very sore hard bump on left side yesterday and switched on doppler there baby was and moved away lol...

I feel this two at times, like feeling little lumps under the skin. We're nearly the same gestation so I think we're probably both feeling little bones!

Definitely could feel kicks from the outside at 18 weeks, so I guess it would make sense that you could feel little baby parts. at 26 weeks there's no mistake that I'm feeling baby's head or back or foot that's kicking my hand :~)

Thanks for the reassurance! :)

It must have been him, since I totally can't detect it now. This morning there was a lump however.

When my son was larger around 26 + weeks I could always feel his butt sticking out. It was so funny because his butt deformed my bump. Interestingly, after birth he always loved sleeping with his butt popped out and spooning. If I move away he backs up his butt until he finds me in bed

Marumi that is just the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Have noticed that Zodi likes to ball up in the corners of my uterus, if not head down and kicking me in the diaphragm  Thinking they may have developed that from me--as a kid I would always nestle backwards into a corner or against a wall. Just cozy

Haha it is so funny how we seem to stick with the same behavior even from the womb on! My son still sleeps the same way he did as a newborn, and recently I analyzed the way I always curl up in bed and thought it could have well been my fetal position.

My son is a 100% belly sleeper. Has been since birth. So, we switched him to belly sleeping pretty early on & that was the difference between 1.5hs of sleep or 3-4hs of sleep. We never looked back. He still sleeps like that. Not changed in the slightest.

For some reason I'm really not comfortable pressing down on and researching my belly. It might a
Be a irreal fear that I might disturb something. I've been feeling him since 15.5weeks, but only down by the pubic bone. At ultrasound he indeed was feet down, but his head was near my bellybutton. I was so surprised as I've never felt him high at all!! Can you a tually feel them up there? I feel him often, always in the same spot though.

Hubby got a good kick to the head at 18 weeks, and I've also been feeling the approximate shape of baby when laying down. Still with the complete change of positions it's very hard to tell which body part is where. Only time I can hazard a guess is when I get a hard kick near my cervix, so glad they're weaker than the later ones, those used to cripple me :haha:

Baby seems to love curling up on my left side, sometimes it is so very uncomfortable especially if he rolls over or turns. It feels like an enormous amount of pressure or strain, like my bump isn't big enough :(

Aside from that he likes to kick me a lot, he definitely can't wait to come out!! :)

Qmama
at 18 weeks my app said I can feel baby movement above the belly button too now. I do get kicks in the cervix as well occasionally but it seems a few times bigger body parts where up there by my belly button. I did not even have to poke and search, when I was on my back in the tub I felt a lump, slightly touched my belly and there is was  That is why I wasn't sure if it is the baby because it was so close to the surface but it moved now.

My husband and I were discussing that last night. He was feeling kicks and commented that his feet were hanging out on my right side and his butt must be right in the middle. But I know from ultrasound pictures that he likes his butt out front and is almost always on his side but it's crazy to be able to actually feel him sticking his little butt out. But I know that is what he is doing.. the really funny part is he sleeps just like my husband.

I always feel parts but omg just now I felt a big hard lump! He moved on the right side and as I put my hand there I felt it.

Also get this weird stretching feeling in my belly when he pushing hard against it! Almost feels like his about to rip out my belly lol

I know this is old but last night I could clearly see two lumps moving around my belly button area. I know it wasn't baby though because she was punching me with little fists sticking out to the right of that. I think it was my intestines due to the gap in my abs, which became more pronounced with this pregnancy. It's totally normal but gross.

Omg I feel this sometimes too!
