Feeling hopeless

Hi, I'm 24 years old currently trying for our first child however we've been trying for quite awhile now and nothing. My periods have lasted only 3 to 4 days the past couple of months so I can't really tell when I'm ovulating. When I was 13 I was forced by my mother to get on depo I stopped depo in October 2009? I'm losing all hopes in having a baby. Anyone else have this problem?

sorry you're feeling so down...there's a ton of support here

the length of your period doesn't seem to be related to when you ovulate, so you could be ovulating but the timing of sex not be right?

lots of people on these boards use OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) or take their BBT (basal body temperature) to try and find out when they ovulate so they can time having sex in their fertile window.

some people that stresses them out too much so they just hope for the best but hang around here too!

have you charted anything or thought about starting to see if/when you're ovulating?

I mean we do have sex majority of the time. We're pretty consistent in that area. Would me being on depo for so long have anything to do with it?
I've done bbt that didn't work though
I've also had blood work to check my thyroid and everything I'm as healthy as ever. I just feel so lost and in the clouds cause I don't know what's causing me to not get pregnant😔😭

have you gone to a doctor specifically for fertility issues?
i guess most docs will see you if you've been TTC for a year with no success?

sorry, i don't know. i don't have any experience with coming off BC or any other meds (knock on wood!) just wanted to reply anyway...

I thought about but they're so expensive and not too sure about finding a good one.

i'm probably not very helpful, but there are lots of people here who've used clomid or other meds to help...maybe ask around?

also wanted to add that BBT charting doesn't GET you pregnant, it just helps you figure out what your body is doing and gives you clues on how to help it get pregnant.

Lol but you're someone to talk to. I do want to try clomid I guess I just have to ask around. We've been trying since 2010. I miscarried in February 2011 . I knew what bbt meant lol just doesn't work for me though.

i have only been trying for just over a month now, but i can only imagine how hard it must be for "this" to continue month after month. kudos to you for keeping at it

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so hopeless. It must be incredibly difficult after trying for so long - I've been TTC for 13 months with no joy and that's been hard enough! So I'm glad you've reached out here so at least you can chat to others rather than having to experience it alone.

It does sound like it would be worth speaking to a Doctor specifically about fertility issues as you haven't been able to conceive since 2011. I'm so sorry for your loss then as well. Just very difficult with money issues I imagine so I hope perhaps if you ask around somebody would be able to recommend you a good doctor where you know you will be investing your money wisely in them!

IIam very glad to have found a support group specifically on trying to conceive. I'm going to look further into finding a fertility doctor.It really has come to the point that maybe something is wrong. I just hope nothing to serious😕
