Feeling Kinda Isolated

I feel kinda weird.

I'm a single mum (well, I have a bf, but I'm still a single mum really) but I'm a single mum by choice.

I planned my baby. I left my ex while I was pregnant. I've cut him out of mine & Joshy's life cos I feel he's no good for either of us.

When people ask about Joshy's dad & I tell them he's not around & they just assume he left us. & I speak to my friends & they're desperately trying to get FOB involved in thier LOs life

I just feel cut off, cos everything thats happened I made happen.

FOB now has a contact order & I really don't know how to feel about it.

As mad as it sounds, I feel like I don't fit in to being a single mum. I think I'm going crazy

I know how you feel I'm in a similar situation. I'm in a relationship but I'm not with my oldests FOB and left him when I was first pregnant for my own reasons and people just assume I was either a. never with him or b. that he left me as soon as he found out I was pregnant and it really annoyed me.

Like you I didn't let him near my LO for personal reasons and he also got a court order to see him. It's really hard at first but I suppose now I'm a little more used to it (within reason)

just out of interest how do they have access rights without being on the birth certificate?
