So yeah I was feeling really sad, have posted about it in 1st tri, so i peed on some preg tests that i have left over, and persuaded hubby to pick me up another FR while he is at the store. it made me feel so much better watching the lines appear, reminding myself at i am preg, even if it might be ectopic, it might not be, and my lines are still there.

i will post up the FR when hubby gets back. i might do another IC with FMU tomorrow to see if i can get it as dark as the control yet.

I will go read your post in 1st tri dear but try to cheer up.

Hope you are feeling better tonight hon, have been worried about you today. Glad the lines came up nice and strong, remember it's still early so lots of hope still. Mine looked like these at 19dpo. xxx

 It makes you feel great seeing those lines doesn't it?! I've done 22 so far  x

I don't know if it will help to hear my story, but I was rushed for an emergency scan at 6 weeks due to abdominal and shoulder pain, and bleeding. I was told after the scan that the sac was in the wrong place, and the pregnancy was ectopic. My HCG levels also weren't rising high enough.

I was admitted straight to a ward and operated on the following morning.

After the operation I was told that the pregnancy wasn't ectopic, they had misread the scan and everything was fine. I now have a 6 week old daughter.

I would always ask for a second opinion. :hugs:

don't worry about me, pippin, i am a crazy creature but i always roll out the other side without too much damage. you are a sweetie.

rafwife, that brings me SO much hope, thank you for sharing with me. it is such a relief knowing that doctors aren't always right, with their charts and scans and being all technical.

You're welcome hun. :hugs:

I was kept in hospital until they could be sure my HGC levels were rising (they told me that due to the op, there was a high chance I would miscarry). Afterwards they told me that it is sometimes impossible to get an accurate result from a 6 week scan. You're not even 5 weeks yet, so if what my docs were saying is true then I would keep your fingers crossed.

Good luck

I HATE to ever give people false hope but Ive known so many women be told this only to find the baby has dropped into position later or never been ectopic in the first place. I read your story and you dont mention pain which is a fab sign and I am so hopin hard for you that this baby finds its way to the womb. While there is life there is hope, never forget that xx

Hun I do not want to give you false hope but that is all you can do right now is hope and pray. Drs are not always right, they make mistakes just like people do. A lot of time they give out the worst possible scenario to prevent people from getting false hope so if no pain and no red blood just wait it out for a little while, do not let them do anything until an empty sac is confirmed a couple times with plenty of days in between. Be prepared for bad news but hope for the good news.

I am heartened by all the stories people have shared on this thread and am with them 100%. Hoping you pull through this and they are wrong!

Me too, I know the stress you are under right now and I think these make a lot of sense. Second opinions are always best to get and give it a little more time for the egg to develop. We're keeping everything crossed for you. :hugs:

thank you, all of you. you have given me so much hope. thankfully the doctors called this morning and said they now think it is not ectopic, as my hormone levels have suddenly surged upwards loads, to 2323 from 662 48 hours ago. i feel so much relief. they still want to scan me again next week though, just to make absolutely sure.

this all started at the end of last week when i started getting severe one sided pains in my tummy, unfortunately. the pain has stopped now though, so i am hoping it was just corpus luteum pains (i might have spelt that wrong, it was just what the doctor said it might be if it was not ectopic).

on a POAS addict note, i did a FR and an IC this morning, the IC had the test line darker than the control, and on the FR the control line was barely visible as i think my test line stole all the dye. i enjoyed seeing them develop. :)

This is fab news honey, and a fab tale to tell your awkwards bean when he/she is giving you jip in years to come :)

sometimes drs are so wrong is un true and other times, your body fixes the problem. whatever happened im so glad it did xx

So glad the hormones are rising properly, FX for your next scan to show a bean and to prove the drs wrong. Good luck dear.
