I'm just over 20 weeks and until week 19, was feeling only VERY occasional flutters since week 17 or so. For the past week I've been feeling strong ticklish flutters multiple times a day, every day. But so far I can't see or feel anything from the outside. For those of you far enough along to feel from the outside, how long after you started feeling movement consistently on the inside were you able to feel externally?

Last week dh felt baby from the outside and ds1 did this week. Shouldn't be to much longer=) it's very hit or miss tho too! Gotta get her at the right time till she is bigger

I started feeling flutters at 17 weeks, from the outside at 18 weeks, OH felt it at 19 weeks and we could see them at 19 weeks also. I've been very lucky, my baby moves a lot and now at 24 weeks it's basically all day and night haha.

This is my second and I felt her at 12 weeks, DH felt her move this week at 16+2. Keep in mind that it's my second baby, my first is only 18 months, I don't know that things settled entirely before getting pregnant again. Also, I am thin and only feel her where my placenta isn't, it's anterior but more to one side.

I started feeling kicks around week 18 and DH felt one small one around 20, my mom felt one almost a week later, and then my DH felt them consistently probably around week 23 or so. Now at 26 weeks we see and feel the kicks from the outside consistently (friends saw a kick from across the table this weekend), and I've been able to have friends feel him kick just by pushing back at him when he's kicking in a certain spot... Starting to feel hands or feet sticking out to the point I can push them back in, same with DH. Moral of the story - you just want them to feel it SO BAD it seems like it takes forever until they can, but before you know it you'll be feeling it all the time!!

I'm 22 weeks and I can only feel kicks on the outside once in awhile. DH hasn't felt her yet but I'm pretty sure he didn't feel our son until around 25 weeks.

My flutters turned into kicks and jabs late in my 20th week. My husband claimed he could feel kicks when I felt nothing around that time. I don't think he felt them until 22 weeks though. I have an anterior placenta.

I started feeling them around then, like 17 weeks or so. My hubby didn't feel them until about 2 weeks ago (around 25 weeks). So it took a while, but I have the placenta oh crap what is it anterior? That makes it harder as well, and it's my first.

I was around 21 weeks when I felt movements on the outside

I started seeing movement on the outside last week I think it was, if not the week before. That being said this is my 2nd baby and it's very sporadic. If I'd have blinked I'd have missed it!

I've felt her from the outside once or twice but again it was pure luck that my hand was there at the time.

This is my second baby, I started to feel her move at 17 weeks. This morning and for the past few days I've been feeling her from the outside, even managed to video it yesterday. :) I'm pretty sure DH would be able to feel her, but she always seems to stop when he places his hand on my stomach aha. I seem to be regonising a pattern of when she's most active now too! X

Within the next few weeks they will def get stronger. I am 19 weeks and still only get light flutters.

I'm sat here right now, I've only been feeling flutters low down since 19 weeks maybe and this is my second baby. But having my hands placed on my stomach I've just felt him kick me! Doubt I would of felt it if my hands weren't there it's very hit and miss and the kicks are so high up!

Update: she's finally kicking and I can see and feel it from the outside! :happydance:

This is my fourth, and we are now able to feel small flutters from the outside and big kicks on the inside for me, starting this week at 18 weeks. However, with all of my babies, how much you feel and where totally depends on baby's position. I have had two babies who liked to lay facing my belly button instead of facing my spine, so we could feel a lot on the outside and a little on the inside. My first laid sideways, so we could feel him on the outside as well as me feeling him on the inside. I've also gone days or weeks not being able to feel baby on one side because of their positioning. I get huuuuge during pregnancies, though, so it's not like I have a normal sized belly at that point to be able to see baby move and feel it - it's an Olympic sized swimming pool, as my OB calls it. Hehehe. My babies have a lot more room than usual to move around and to hide. So it does depend on your body and how it develops during the pregnancy, too.
