My pregnancy is kind of dragging now. I'm past halfway and I just want to meet my little boy because I know once he's here, everything will be perfect and I wont care about anything else.

I'm feeling so lonely. I can't help but think, it would go faster if I had someone to share it with. I think I'm ok with FOB not being around. The only emotional attachment I have to him is our baby. I have no feelings for him what so ever. We don't even talk. But, I can't help but feel crappy about everything he's missing out on. This is supposed to be special and I get so jealous when I read posts about FOB feelings baby's kicks and going to appointments etc. I just wish he could love my son and share my pregnancy, even if he don't particularly like me.

Anything to help cheer me up girls? I usually post these sort of things in second tri and I get loads of lovely support from the girls. But, I feel like it's easy to give advice when you haven't been through it and I know I'll get more honest answers here. Does it ever get better? How can I take my mind off the fact I'm doing this all by myself?

I'm in the final stretch now and think it does get a bit better. I still have times where I feel really down and cry for him for all the things he isnt going to have in terms of two parents that love each other etc.

All I can advise is have the feelings, let the tears out and acknowledge them. its a perfectly normal way to feel.

Took me quite a while to come to terms with things. I still havent fully to be honest, but have accepted my situation and I am as ready as I can be for the rollercoaster ahead xx

Big hugs hun x
I wasnt actually single when i was pregnant but FOB was deployed so i was going through it alone. Do you have the support of your family? I took my parents to every scan, appointment (made my dad very uncomfertable at times at my MW appts lol) but it made things so much easier for me. And i promise you when your LO gets here youll never feel totaly on your own. I know it can sometimes be hard seeing everyone with happy family's but i love the fact i get to have LO all to myself, and the bond you have with them is amazing. He runs up and kisses me, when he is hurt he wants me, He doesnt like going to bed unlesss its me tucking him in. I hope the last half of your pregnancy goes quickly for you xx

awww hun i was exactly the same,i still get bit jel when i see couples andfobs stroking bumps etc

when baby here tho it really wont matter, itl b a tough first 2 week but fine after that

I know how you feel hun sending you big hugs
I get really sad when I see pregnant couples and I cry at how much he's missing out on!
(I didn't want him to leave  )
I feel sad when I experience kicks and movements and he's not there to join in. I always imagined he would be there to laugh, joke sing to the baby and offer support and love to me!
Just think it shouldn't have been this way!!!

Hopefully it will get easier for us soon!

Everyone is saying that when baby boy is here things do get better and I really hope it does!!! I'm worried I'm gonna feel even more down that he's not around!

xxx

You are going to feel so so so so strong as the weeks go on. You may not have anyone to enjoy the special moments with but be selfish, you don't have to share the moments with anyone and that is sometimes a good thing [i mean... seriously?? every couple enjoys sharing everything?? ummm... no]
I know how much easier it is to see the shitty things but you have to try and find the positives. You're having a baby, a beautiful baby and it is your baby and your baby is going to love you so much and need you so much.

:hugs:

Thanks girls. Yeah I have a lot of support off my family. Just kinda craving that special bond I guess. I'm not worried about when my son is here, because I know I just wont care if FOB is not around. In a way I'm kinda glad this is my first child rather than my second, because.. I don't know what it's like NOT to be a single mom. So yeah, it will be hard. But, I wont know the difference because I have nothing to compare it to if that makes sense. I think I felt better before because, I had scans to look forward to and when I go to them.. My mom comes with me and I really don't think about FOB being there because I'm just so excited to see the little one. But now I have no further scans or anything, it's kinda like ok what do I do now :/. I know I have the birth to look forward to, but 19 weeks seems a long time away atm.

Aww hun, the last weeks drag well and truly. But it will get so much better as you get closer to your due date. I promise.

Only thing I can suggest to take your mind off FOB and what he is missing is.. Take this time to do what you want, meet up with friends, go shopping for baby stuff (even if its just window shopping) concentrate on making sure you have everything you'll need.

I lost track of how many times I repacked my bags and moved everything around in the last few weeks. You just need to keep yourself busy and the time will fly by.

Xxx

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you... only after a long hard thing, FOB has decided for the 4th time he wants to see Elliot when he is born.

Apart from that we don't talk.

If you ever want to talk you can PM me anytime, We're pretty close in dates too :D

:flow:

You can do this.. Keep going.. Just countdown to when your holding your gorgeous little LO and then nothing will matter. Make sure you are really prepared for LO.. :)

awww
honestly hun i tried sortin things with fob when the baby was here and it was good as a couple at first

it wears off then your asking them to help all the time cleaning or making bottles
you get stressed and its just so much easier being a single parent in that sense

aww :( i'm the same, my FOB left me and his baby when i was about 10 weeks pregnant and it hasn't half dragged :( i suppose when we actually have our babies we'll be okay because we'll have them to concentrate on :)

i get sad when i can feel her kicking and the only people i can tell are my family and friends when i should be telling FOB but at the end of the day its him losing out :)

when are you due? :D
