Ladies, I just hope some of you might be able to shed some light on things. I had a MMC in May 2010, we NTNP but during this time I did take vitamins, folic acid, and for a short period charted just to make sure that I was ovulating. I got a BFP on Thanksgiving after 17 cycles only to find out the 20th of Dec that it was blighted ovum. My Dr had a blood panel done checked a few things and the only thing to be worried about was my progestrone at 8-9 dpo I was only at 2.6, so he wants to recheck it this cycle since it will be the 2nd cycle after this MC.

He did say that if it was low again that he would put me on clomid and I would be monitored and depending on how I did I might not need progestrone at all if and when I became pregnant. I just got the news today and it hit me really hard. I don't mind taking meds but we pretty much have been just letting things happen and I don't think OH will want to actually schedule BD because I am ovulating and I am worried that with clomid and you only suppose to be on it for 6mths that we won't hit the right time.

Is there anyone that can shed some light on this perhaps some of you have been through this? Should I try soy first? Should I try just progestorne cream first? I need to lose a little weight not much so should I work on that then get retested? Just need some feedback Ladies anything would be appreciated, I just feel kind of gutted. (Note all ultra sounds and everything else is fine)

I haven't tried a lot of the things that you are suggesting, I just wanted comment on your Clomid for six month comment. I am nearing the end of my eighth cycle with Clomid (AF due 22nd) and I will stay on it until I get the injections I am on the waiting list for or get a BFP. I have found that these last two cycles have worked better than the four before it (the first two were different doses).

My FS wouldn't have me on it for this for such a long time if you weren't supposed to be on it for more than six month.

Good luck with your journey. X

That gives me some hope thank you. I sat down with OH tonight and he understands that if we have to go this route we can't just hope for the best we are going to have to actually BD on a time frame and he said he was fine with that, that was the one really big thing I was worried about since it could be stressful on him and me and we needed to be on the same page about this.

I know its hard and luckily my DH is as desperate for a baby as me, so he forces himself at ovulation time. The Clomid will help you develop good sized follicles, if they pop out an egg the progesterone should get higher. I would consider asking for somehting like HCG injection to help pop the follicle.

On the other subject of soy- soy helps raise estrogen levels, it won't help with progesterone. x

How long is your luteal phase? Do you spot? For progesterone problems it's b6 (but a b-complex helps to absorb it better), evening primrose oil, and I think there's one more but I can't remember. I take progesterone suppositories during my 2ww prescribed by my FS, but it's more precautionary. Although I think I did have a slight problem as I would spot up to 4 days before AF.

My lp is 12 days it seems and I start spotting about 2 days before Af

It could be a hair short if you count the spotting. A B-vit wouldn't hurt. It's water soluble so whatever your body doesn't need it would just excrete in urine. I was on clomid and progesterone suppositories so I have no idea if it made my LP longer oress spotting but one thing was different. For the longest time, at least 2 years, my flow start very heavy, as though flood gates were opened for 2 days then it would stop for a day and then be light for another 2 days. But this month it was a steady medium flow throughout, and then light for a day at the end. And that is a sign of a healthier cycle.

I did pick up a vitamin B compled last night and will start taking it this morning, I usually spot a day or two before then medium flow for a day or two and then light for a day then spot
