Hi, I just stepped on a pin which went straight through my foot, the pain caused me to fall forward, luckily I landed on my bed but I did land belly first..I don't think I hit it that hard but now I can't stop panicking that I've hurt the baby, I also feel So guilty that I automatically fell and didn't stop myself. I haven't got any pain and the baby has moved since, would you still call your midwife?

Idk I still sleep on my stomach I also did this with my five year old. I think you'll be fine since you landed on your bed. But if you feel you need to be checked out call your provider :)

I agree with PP. If you feel you need to call then call. But as long as there is movement and no pain or bleeding You should be fine.

i fell down my stairs yesterday, and sort of banged my belly/side, im a little sore today but have felt LO move about since, so not overly worried as was most of side that got the brunt of the fall .. but aslong as bubs is still moving about then u should be fine, but if u want to get checked out for peace of mind then give ur midwife/maternity triage a phone xx

Thanks ladies, I'm still feeling her moving about this morning as normal so she should be fine, I think I just over worry and end up convincing myself it was worse than it actually was! Thanks for putting my mind at rest!

It usually takes quite a hit to the stomach to cause any problems. The main worry is the placenta in these cases (placenta abruption). But I don't think falling on your bed is a huge deal, I think your baby will be okay! I understand the worry! The farther along you are, however, the more careful you have to be, as the uterus gets thinner and thinner as it stretches. It sounds like from your babies movements that everything should be okay! :hugs:
