Felt baby kick from the outside at 21 weeks?!

Last night I told my husband that I could really feel the baby kicking (from inside of me). So he said he wanted to try and see if he could feel, well he definitely felt him kick, and a lot too! I tried putting my hand on my stomach and sure enough, you could feel a pretty big kick, not just movement, but a kick! We were in shock!

I didn't realize you could feel it from the outside that this early. Granted the only time it worked was when I was lying down flat on my back, you couldn't feel it in any other position, not sure why either.....

Is that oddly early (21 weeks) or pretty normal do you all think? Anyone else felt this yet? It's actually the first time I really felt like there was an actually baby inside me, my baby, CRAZY!!!!!

I've felt it since 18 weeks from the outside. I couldn't believe it at first (this is my first pregnancy that has progressed to the second trimester), but that's definitely what it was! My husband has felt it a couple of times now, and I have felt it a LOT. It's pretty consistent now during certain times of the day. Isn't it awesome?!

ETA: At first I could only feel it lying down, too (for the first couple of days). Now I feel it when I'm sitting, and yesterday I felt it while I was standing for the first time.

My husband and I felt our son from the outside last night! I just started feeling proper kicks and pokes last week, so definitely possible!

I think it's pretty common to be able to feel baby kicking on the outside by 20ish weeks. I know I can and I did with my son too.

I have felts kicks since 17 weeks, hubby every now (not often at all) and then only if I'm lying down can feel them as well but that only started at the end of week 18. I thought it was weird as well and friends/family keep saying are you sure, which drives me nuts b/c I know I'm a first time mom but I know the difference b/n a kick and gas bubble. Sorry little rant in your post.

I've just started feeling outside kicks too and I'm 21 weeks, so exciting

My husband felt the baby kick at about 22 wks, but I could feel it at 18-20 wks. I'm 24 wks now and whenever I am still (like laying in bed or in class) she will practice kick boxing for fun!

With my first i felt him on the outside at 20 weeks, with this one Ive been feeling him from the outside since 16 weeks

Average I believe. I felt my first son outside st 21 weeks, and this baby we felt at 17 on top of anterior placenta this time around
