Hey Ladies,

I am cycle day 2 and getting ready to start my first cycle of femara. I have already done 6 cycles of clomid... just wondering if anyone else is in a similar place, or has gone through the same thing?

Hi Sammy

I'm just about to start my dose later today cd3-7.
I only had 2 cycles of clomid and waited to see a RE (that appt was today)
I'll be going in for a US on cd11 to check for follicles and then using the triggershot.
I take it you had no luck on the Clomid??,Did you have bad side effects??

Hi MnG.

They don't monitor here at all, which I find very strange, and no trigger shot for me :(. Anyway, I actually did get pregnant on my 3rd cycle of clomid, however, I lost my wee one very early on. I started my femara this morning! I'm excited there is someone else at a similar spot as me! I definitely did have bad side effects on clomid... hot flashes were ridiculous. How about you?

I had some pretty bad hot flashes and I remember a migraine early on, the first 2/3 days of both cycles.

I had these very strange leg pains. The best way I can explain it would be heavy legs/ restless. It felt like I had walked a million miles and the only way to get rid of the aching was to keep moving.
My OB figured it might be bloodclot related so she stopped those and brushed me off. Infertility is out of her relm so I had to wait 2 months to see this RE.
Turns out she was pretty nice and offered us the middle of the road option of the femara and still trying naturally.
Im not quite ready for IUI :nope:

The femara last night made me very nauseous and queasy shortly after taking it. I went to bed early to sleep it off and feel fine today. Hopefully those side effects don't continue today.

How are you doing today?

Hi there. I'm TTC Baby #2 and am on my first medicated cycle. We did clomid 100 mg and I was ovulating on my own, according to my bloodwork.

I had an u/s on Tuesday (CD 11) and my follicles were small, none bigger than 2 mm. There were 4 on each side. I went back today and 4 follicles were gone and the remaining ones weren't any bigger. So the nurse said it's clearly not working and we're not going to try another cycle.

She said next CD 1 I should call and come in for a follow up and then we'll start femara. I'm worried that if the clomid didn't work, this won't either. I'm so sad and disappointed today. I had hoped the clomid was going to give me my miracle.

Hi Braven!!

So sorry to hear the Clomid didn't work. It did nothing for me either. I was on 50mg and then 100. All I know is that my p4 levels went from 12 to 15. My OB didn't offer any US's as it wasn't her specialty. I feel better about this cycle, the ultrasound next week should confirm if there's any eggs at all. I'm starting to think that maybe its a PH issue that's killing his swimmers

How far till you are cd1 again??

I'm not sure when CD 1 will be  I'm on CD 13 right now and I usually ov CD 17 and have a 31-32 day cycle, give or take a couple of days. I have a follow up on November 4th and I should have started the day before or be starting that day.

Hi Ladies,

How's it going? I'm cycle day 10 right now and just getting antsy for ovulation !! I found femara WAY easier to deal with than clomid... way fewer hot flashes. How are your cycles going?!

Slow! CD 19 here. Exhorting to start femara. Days need to go faster.

*stalking*

Hi all

I'm currently cd13 on a clomid cycle. It started well with a 12mm follie on cd10, but today it's only 13mm. My consultant has written off the rest of the cycle - no more scans. He says we should still try dtd eod & see what happens. But if/when AF rolls around I'm moving to femara. This will be my sixth month on clomid & no bfp in sight.

Wishing you all lots of luck on femara & I'll probably be joining you very soon :dust:
