i bought some fennel as I read its a good option for baby but i'm baffled as to what to do with it...

I have no idea how to cook it but I'd be worried it'd cause a really upset tummy...it certainly does with me!

my doc just suggested it as one of the veges to try. i know that bfing mums can benefit their colicky LOs by eating it or drinking fennel tea too. i guess it's non gassy and easy on the tummy?

oh ok then i dont know
with the seeds u can boil them in some water- thats meant to be good for the tummy!!

Yeah you can buy fennel tea as a drink for babies. Fennel can be softened gently in a bit of oil (like you would soften and onion) and goes well with chicken, fish....nice in fish pie and risottos actually:happydance:. It has an aniseed type flavour and could be a bit overpowering if you used too much so be careful.

I love it roasted with fish and potatoes mmmmmmmmmmm:happydance:

hmmm- sounds interesting - i might look into that some more!
