Ferning/Saliva Testing?

Does anyone have any experience with this? It's probably the only test I haven't done in my entire TTC journey and I'm now curious. Has anyone ever done this? Good results? Reliable for O timing?

I tried it a little this cycle but didnt have and ferning til 1DPO and it was only partial.
If we're not successful this cycle I'm going to start CD1 and check daily. I only started a few days before O this cycle

I'm using a regular handheld microscope. I can't remember where we got it tho, I wanna say Hobby Lobby! It's the same magnification (60x-100x)
