Fertility clinics

Hi Everyone,
My FS suggested that since I have un explained infertility there is nothing else they can do and that I can contact private clinics for IUI or IVF. I just wanted to know if anyone knows any good clinics around Leeds? I am considering IUI at the moment since its cheaper and also a simpler procedure from what I have heard.

Hello Bigfoot1980,
Im also near the Leeds area and will be going private for our fetility treatment. I havnt got as far as looking into clinics as we are still in the first stages and waiting to see the FS.
What results have you found so far?

I have just started looking for clinics. My situation is that I have had the initial blood tests done to confirm that I ovulate. After that I had a lap & dye done to check that my tubes are open and make sure nothing else is wrong inside.

My DH has border line SA results. Initially my FS did not think that could be causing any problems. However now after my tests are all OK, she thinks it might be male factor. She suggested before my next appointment we should think about IUI and IVF.

I am considering IUI and as yet don't know much about clinics and such. If I get some more information about clinics I will let you know.

Oh and I also have a retroverted uterus. FS doesn''t think thats an issue but i think my retroverted uterus combined with DH low motility might be the issue.


Anyways sorry for the long post.

Well my OH had a reversal about 14 mths ago (had the snip while with his ex) and it hasnt worked as well as we had hoped. Its not impossible for us to conceive but its more than likely we will need ICSI. Ive had all my bloods done and scans to check im ok, the doctor wouldnt send us for a referral until id been looked at too. So now we are just waiting to see the FS at the LGI. I know we are not entitled to help on the NHS as my OH has children.

I saw the FS in York. I don't think in York they offer anything on the NHS except for what has already been done. I was hoping to have Clomid prescribed but that didn't happen.

Sure I will keep you updated.
