Fertility issues = stress = ulcer? Anyone?

Hello!!

I was just wondering if any of you have had stomach ulcers? I know they 'say' they can be caused by stress (I dont know who 'they' is) and I believe I have one.

For the past week or so, I've had burning in my stomach. Right below my chest bone, like upper stomach. Its worse in the morning, and gets better throughout the day. It's driving me crazy
It doesnt seem to be going anywhere either. It's an everyday/morning thing.

If they are, in fact caused by stress... then I'm sure I have one

I see that as being very probable. I have a skin condition caused by stress from infertility issues. I hope that you get it figured out, hun.

I'm taking ulcer meds currently... not sure if stress plays a role.. but I don't doubt it! I've been on meds for over a year.. long before TTC. Mine got so bad (before I knew) that it hurt to even sit ~ exactly where you're describing too. If you don't treat it~ it will get EXCRUCIATINGLY worse!! I take prescribed Omeprazole which is Prilosec over the counter~ definitely get some and see if it helps! Hope you feel better! Stay away from caffeine and citrus-y type foods like pineapple- anything with seeds such as strawberries and tomatoes!

Stress could cause ulcers, but it is more likely caused by other specific reasons such as H pylori. You might want to check with a doc if it gets too uncomfy.
