fertility tests??

1st off hello everyone, 2nd sorry if im not ment to post here.

I was just wondering how a fertility test works as a friends oh has had 1 n got given her results yesterday (not good news 5/100% likely without help).

How did u handle bad news if u've had a fertility test done, needless to say she few of the handle n her oh spent the night in the dog house for not going with her (even though he offered constantly)

Sorry your friend is going through this. Speaking as someone who has been told they have 0% chance of getting pregnant naturally, due to hubby being diagnosed with azoospermia (no sperm present in semen), a 5% chance is still a 5% chance. People get pregnant all the time when they have been told they stand very little chance so it could still happen.

However, there is so much that they can do these days. I'm not sure what his results were, but it sounds like they may end up going for IVF / ICSI.

Again, I don't know the circumstances around their appt yesterday, but, as hard as it is, she needs to try to support her hubby. Whether they admit it or not, it really hurts a man to be told they are basically infertile and can't get their wife / gf pregnant. It hits them hard and they will need to support each other. Maybe he felt deep down that something was wrong and that's why he didn't go to the appt.

I hope they get some good news soon
