I have a fiat 500, and a baby on the way in Sept....

Not the best car for baby, but my OH has a big car so wondering if realistically i will be able to manage with the 500, or if im going to have to sell it...

Will only be me and bub using it for poping to the shops ect..

Has anyone got/know someone who has a fiat 500 and a baby? do they manage?

Also have any idea if the iCandy peach fits in the boot (fallen in love with pushchair!!)?
Or what pushchairs fit ?

Any help would be v. much aprechiated!

Thank you :)

Back when I was a kid my mum had a fiat 126 (smaller than a mini) and 3 kids.

You won't have much boot space but it will be fine for popping to the shops and around about. You can have baby in their car seat in the back and pushchair on the front seat if it doesn't fit in the boot.

I have a beetle and tried few prams in boot yesterday.. icandy cherry works, as does the oyster..maybe look at them?

Not a clue but I adore fiat 500's!!!! It's like my dream car :). He he.

Can not help from experience but got 500 and currently cautiously pregnant with twins and planning on getting an icandy. Have not tried one in the boot but i think it will fit. Not planning on getting the carrycot just the car seats and the normal chairs.

Icandy frame seems to be quiet compact.

Great choices. . . . Car and pushchair!

I don't have a fiat 500 but one of the girls at work has one. She has a bugaboo buffalo (quite bulky) and managed to get it into the boot so I would imagine the icandy would be fine.

My mum has a fiat 500 and has my daughter one day a week. That said she doesn't tend to take the pushchair in the car.

I have an icandy peach and my daughter although tall for her age has outgrown it at 18 months. It's great for LO's and easy to push but not so great now. Just thought I'd let you know as I really wish I'd spent my pennies on a longer lasting pushchair. I now have my sights set on a baby jogger x

Mamas and papas luna fits in the boot xx

I used to have a ford Ka, which is a small car, and I used it with my son, and then my daughter. I decided to change car when she wasstill little because then it was beginning to be a bit too tight (I also have 2 dogs!)
As for the pushchair, mine didn't use to fit in the boot, but I would put it in front of the backseats, under the kids feet, or in the front of the car.
So I don't think you should worry about the car yet, and you will see how you get on when the babyis here, but I'm sure that you'll manage, especially since you have another bigger car.

I tried the iCandy Peach 3 in my boot the other day and it was fine. I have a small boot so i was panicking, the only problem for me was the carry cot. I did notice she said she had a lady come in the other day and she had a fiat 500 and that it fit in her boot so i think you're ok. A lot of places let you test it out in your boot if you want to make sure. Good luck! Really hope it fits as i too am in love with this pram

When we had just had our first we had a fiat 500 (partner was a driving instructor then so that was the car they gave him) and it was a squeeze. I hated not having back doors to get baby in and out properly, tiny boot space and it was all just squashed. Once he stopped being an instructor ( around 4 months after ds1 was born) we has a different car. Nearly 5 years on I now drive a Citroen grand Picasso c4 lol, I'm not a fan of small cars for families. I'm sure it'll be ok for one child but if your family expands it might be a bit squashed? X
