So I went to the doctors office finally, and found out I have type 2 diabetes. They put me on Metformin that I have to take 2 times a day. 500mg per tabs. Anybody know anything about that? Also went to OBGYN today and was told that I may have PCOS. Going through tests.

So now I've been going through bad news after bad news. So I am going to need to some support. Now me and DB has been trying for almost 2 years. No regular periods.

All of this information is new, so now I have to get myself together in losing weight. **TMI ALERT*** They have to give me something to shed lining, because I haven't had any periods.

I think your going to be fine! I have PCOS... I was put on Clomid so I could ovulate. You should find getting your blood sugars under control will majorly help you loose weight. Perhaps look up a diet they suggest for people with diabetes and PCOS. I changed my diet about a year before TTC and I was able to get regular periods back although I didn't ovulate. It made life a lot easier. Best of luck with everything!

As much as it is a hard deck to be dealt t2b, take solace in the fact that you're started on a new path, where you finally have some idea of what is getting in your way of conceiving.

Diabetes and PCOS can be managed, and now that they are diagnosed, it means that you can get the right medication to help you conceive. And tackle the other factors that come along with these conditions. TTC without help is a struggle, and now you're headed in the right direction. Imagine if it took two more years to diagnose you?? Now you can have a baby in that time! :D
