Hi Ladies - Apologies lost post

im 35 and TTC number 2. It took us 2 years to concieve DS1 but as we were younger we didnt really stress it took a while.

Were now 2.5yrs into trying to conceive again, my periods are pretty regular and i seem to get a +ve ovulation test every month so it seems as though everything is working.

I finally bit the bullet and went to the GP today. I really didnt want to as ive heard they can be unsympathetic when you already have a child.

Anyway i couldnt have been more wrong she was amazing! Totally understanding and started tests there and then, she even did the bloods her self. Testing for hormone imbalances, thyroid, diabetes etc.

She going to call me next week with the results, then if they dont show any obvious issues then its straight for an ultrasound.

I feel so positive now, like things may actually happen.

Any one else going through the same.

I went to see my GP about 6 weeks ago as we've been trying for about 10 months plus a few months before that NTNP. She was really great also. I said I was worried as my periods seem to have gone a bit irregular too due to my lueal phase getting shorter. She ordered some blood tests for me which sounds similar to what you had done & has referred me for a scan. My bloods were fine & im still waiting on my scan appointment. My hubby also asked his GP about getting tested so he's got an appointment at the hospital for that in a few weeks so hopefully we'll know more then.

I am glad you were treated with the respect and understanding you deserve! Good luck with everything!

Thanks for the responses, im just glad i was taken seriously id prepared myself to be fobbed off so i was taken aback.

Pamg - Let me know how you get on - Im kinda hoping my bloods do show something so we have something to work with - It will be frustrating to be told everything is normal - when clearly its not or id be expecting no 2.
