The child support system in the US is much better than ours but the benefits system is really good which has it's plus points and negatives.
I've just become single so not really set up with finances yet but my girls get 2 1/2 days free childcare every term time week as I go to college part time. I get a modest income from benefits and will be living on student loans from next year!
