LO always always always bites too much off, doesn't chew it, then realises she can't swallow it so gags and pukes up everything that her stomach contains! it's happened every time i've given her finger foods. She's only just started to tolerate Stage 2 food pouches. We're TW and only been weaning since 6 months so not long. She's only been having 3 meals a day for the last 3 weeks.
Any tips? From what i've read things make out like she has a really sensitive gag reflex. I've tried making purees thicker and done a gradual build up from puree with tiny texture to now stage 2's so she's starting to tolerate that. I've also crumbled up buscuits for her to eat. Every time I let her experiment with finger foods she pukes up so much it's making her lose weight - she's dropped enough centiles since birth :/
xxx
(Edit - I say 'lose' weight but I mean not put on as much weight as usual! I know it's common for weight gain to slow after 6 months but she's so skinny already, i'm a little paranoid maybe)
