Hi everybody, my husband and i are trying again because we have been trying for about 4 yrs now and ive not become pregnant so we are hoping this time round will be lucky for us! :happydance:

He is a diabetic and we wonder if that might be something to do with it?

Does anyone have any experience that could help us please? x

Hi Tolly,

I don't have any experience of trying to conceive with diabetes but we did wonder at one point if my husband was diabetic for various reasons (turns out he's not). While we were waiting for his results I had a look at the interweb and I'm sure there were some issues connected with diabetes and fertility. I'd suggested that you speak to your fertility specialist about it who should be able to help if there are any issues relating to his condition.

Are you already seeing someone or wiating for an appointment?

Wishing you all the luck in the world honey!!!!

Is it type 1 or type 2 diabetes? My ex has been insulin dependent since the age of 20 and had no problem conceiving our children at 27 and 30 yo. His dad is also insulin dependent and produced 4 children.

He is insulin dependant and has been most of his life, we have been to the drs and it would seem there is a problem relating to that and we are trying some suggestions but as yet they arent working.
