I wanted to post this here to warn everyone about movements!!

On saturday the 12th may i made a thread about baby being very quiet, as i didnt want to be a pain i waited untill the monday to have a scan done at the time i said he had been very quiet but i had felt some movements!
I was put on a trace and i could see there and then something was'nt right, i was then taken to L+D where they did a second trace, Within 2 hours i was whisked into theater for a cat 1 emergancy c-section luckly i had a spinal block so was awake with hubby next to me, Finley james was born at 32 weeks weighing 4lb 9oz and was taken away up to the NICU straight away!
We had a massive fetal maternal hemorridge, he was born with only a very small amount of blood in him, he had to have 2 blood transfusions and allsorts done to him to keep him alive!
We are now a week on and he is a miracle, He is breathing on his own his liver and kidneys are regerateing nicely, he has jaundice but thats to be expected. All the nurses are stunned buy him and how he has done!
We have been told to expect some sort of brain damage because they dont know how long he was starved of oxygen but has had 2 clear brain scans so far!
Untill he gets to milestones we wont know!

He is an absolute miracle baby (the consultant has told us that in her 14 years of work she hasn't seen a baby make it that was born like Fin!) Which is to scary for me to even think about at the moment!!

Im completley in love with him!

I dont want to scare enyone with his birth but i never in a million years thought that something like this would happen!! It is soooooo very rare but it has happend so ladies if your at all worried about your babys movements please dont feel like your being a pain like me just go and get it checked out!!

Happy healthy babys and births to all of you lovely ladies xxxx

Oh my goodness you must have been terrified!
Huge congratulations, so glad to hear that little man is doing well. Wishing you all the best xx

I'm OCD about movements as it is. I'm glad that he is doing ok. I hope you are doing well as well and am recovering from this stress.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Pleased to hear that your little boy is doing well. It must have been very scary.

Congrats hun and so glad he is safe & sound!

How much movement are we suppose to feel? Its so much harder as I have an anterior placenta xx

So glad everything 's ok! How traumatic! My 4 yr old is called Finley James! You have good name taste!

Thank you all!

Im doing ok! My wound is really sore still, it makes getting around really hard but i keep myself drugged up on paracetamol and ive got so much else to think about that i just deal with the pain!!

Emoitionally im not really sure i think im numb to it all at the moment, when im at the hospital wih him im fine because i know he is doing good and i can cuddle him, but as we have a 19 month old i stay at home every other day to look after him as we dont want it to start effecting him if im away every day! So my husband is there today and its a very long day for me not being able to see him!!!

How scary! But congrats on his birth and hope he continues to make good progress. Thanks for sharing x
