First cycle back from break... missed my surge?

Ok i've been on a reluctant break for the last 7 months and this is first cycle back TTC #1

I feel like a newbie here with this question but i poas (OPK) tonight (7.45pm) I usually O on CD12/13 and i have a follicle scan booked for Thursday (CD12 - to check size) But previously i had no lines, then suddenly they would appear get dark quickly and then gone again.

I poas last night - This is CD8!! I KNOW it's NOT positive, but this is a lot darker than i used to get on CD8!

I've missed the surge building up haven't I? I don't think i'm going to make it to thursdays scan!!

I've lost weight and still losing weight - but surly it can't change O date by so much??

Well this looks positive to me not going to be much use having the scan on thursday now!

Not necessarily....You can ovulate anywhere between 12 and 36 hours (or more!) after the surge. You may have several days of positives before it happens. Still go for the scan...if you have ovulated already, they will still be able to see the follicles that the egg came from

My surges are very short - That was my surge they are negative now lol

Less than 24 hours from last night CD8 7.45pm (top test) to 4.15pm (bottom test) CD9

never has O been so early!! ... oh well they say it only takes one bd lol
