First cycle on Clomid, have questions

Hi Ladies, this is my first time posting here, hope you don't mind. I just started my first cycle of Clomid and I am om cd6, the dr said I am to take it for cd6-cd10. Then go in for a sonogram on cd13. My question is, when should I expect to ovulate? Is the scan to see if I am going to ovulate or if I did ovulate? Should hubby and I have sex before my scan on cd13, or wait until after the scan? I am just a little confused, I didn't talk to my doctor today, his nurse called me and she isn't his regular nurse, so she wasn't very helpful. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Hi Katcan, when I was on clomid I was also given a "trigger" shot that caused ovulation. I would say that you could do it on CD11 just incase, but then wait until you see your doc on CD13. Men usually have more sperm if they haven't ejaculated for 48 hours before the "important" time. He must think that you won't ovulate until day 14 or so. Most women ovulate around CD 14 or 15, although that wasn't me, and we all do vary greatly. I just think if he thought you'd ovulate sooner, the appt would be earlier. They claim that you ovulate 5-7 days after the last pill of clomid, but you never know how your body will react, I agree with w8ing4ours dtd on cd11 then see what your dr says about the scan... babydust x
