So my second trimester, I still have little appetite, lots of heartburn, but no more nauseous, or not as much. Got energy back, although motivation is still lacking some days.
Anyway the other night I dreamed our sweet puppy dog jumped up and actually punched me in the stomach. It felt very real (Our dog does not sleep in bed) It woke me up.
Then the other night I rolled from my right side to my left, and I felt a flurry of something, kicks, punches, wiggling, someone described it like a fish flopping around.
Most people are talking about how lovely it is to feel baby move. I am hoping that someone else feels like I do, and doesn't like it. It's weird and makes me uncomfortable. I haven't felt much since, and I know it's going to get worse. So if anyone can offer words of comfort? First pregnancy at 16+ weeks, do you learn to expect it, like it?

For me the beginning movements are a bit weird. They're to me an awkward butterfly feeling and I've never liked getting that feeling. I did like the fact that it was reassuring. The further along I got though, and the feeling of it being like a real baby is when I liked it the most. It's an indescribable feeling and for me I loved just sitting there holding my hands on my belly and watching and feeling the movement.

With my first I felt like those early movements were worms crawling under my skin! It did get better as the kicks and movements got stronger. I haven't felt any movement in this pregnancy yet. I'm hoping I enjoy it this time because I know what to expect.

I'm almost 22 weeks and am starting to feel the really hard kicks.
When I first felt them, I had the same reaction as you. They make me feel weird and uncomfortable. The feeling of it kind of actually grosses me out a little.
I know what to expect now so it doesn't weird me out as much. Sometimes the really hard kicks can be startling because you aren't expecting them. Hahaha.

I have just started feeling movement and it's not a sensation I like. It's reassuring but does make me feel ill

I didn't like them at first, they felt weird and distracting and uncomfortable. Baby's getting much stronger now and the kicks don't feel weird anymore, but still uncomfortable.

Maybe visualizing your baby moving around might help it feel less weird? If you see it in your mind's eye, it might feel less foreign that way.

I feel most of the kicks down low near my panty line right now, and while the feeling makes me happy, it is uncomfortable (even though it's not painful, just annoying [sorry baby]) and I usually try shifting position so I won't feel them continue. Later on the feelings are much more enjoyable, until you get to the end, then it's annoying and painful! Yay pregnancy!

The first feelings always feels like gas to me, really bad rumbling gas. It gets better, Oliver is now twisting and kicking and I can feel him glide wherever he goes. :)

Seeing baby on our 18 week scan kick, flex, move was incredible. Feeling it move inside was strange but for having so many losses and so many troubles getting pregnant, then a pregnancy with no symptoms or sickness making me wonder if things are ok for months and months - well I have to say I welcome all the kicks and weird bumps. I need to know baby is ok. There's nothing like trying for 6+ years and having failure after failure to finally have a healthy baby...those movements are so reassuring. My heart does a little skip when I feel baby and to be reminded every 2 hours now that baby is doing well is the sweetest thing on earth!
