I am in the U.S. but I will tell you about my first appointment which was last week. I'd been to my regular OB/Gyn and she did blood work on CD2 because my cycles are very irregular. I'm 38, a bit overweight, irregular cycles and diabetic. Ugh. My bloodwork came back saying that I have low ovarian reserve so she recommended a fertility specialist ASAP.
Had my first appointment and they reviewed the results of my recent bloodwork. They also did an abdominal, pelvic and vaginal ultrasound. Oh, I also had an ovarian cyst that was found at last OB/Gyn appt. They remeasured that cyst to check for growth and it hadn't grown. She prescribed Provera to kick start my cycle as I was on day 49 by then. When I finish that, I should have a period, then I will start Clomid 50mg for cycle days 5-9. My husband has never had a SA so she requested him to come in and do that. Sadly, he's been working on a big project and can't take time off to do that this week so we are going to try to take care of that next weekend. I really suspect that all the issues are in my body though.
I'm guessing that with your DH having low sperm count they will put you on Clomid and possibly some injections for a couple of cycles but if that doesn't work, I'll be they encourage you to try IUI to have the best chances possible.
Baby dust to you!!
