confused and nervous  xxxx

UPDATE
Well...how odd :dohh: where do i start??

wen went in, she asked me my medical history and told me i need to go for bloods on cd2 and cd21....that was fine, ive to go back in 3 months time great! she asked OH a few questions, and mentioned a SA...fine, he had one done at the hospital about 5 months ago so they said they would get his results off the lab :)

we left and 5 mins later, i got a phone call to come back in, so we did, she asked us to sit down we did and she had OH's results from his SA in er hand. her EXACT words to me (not OH) were " Philip has had a vesectomy " :saywhat: my jaw dropped and so did OH's cos he swears he hasnt had one...he has 2 kids from a previous relationship, his ex wanted him to get the snip and he said no" apperantly on the results it was showing how good his sperm were considering he had a vesectomy!!! he hasnt had a vesectomy though! were outraged, he will be getting another one done in a few weeks time, he swears to me he hasnt, so i have no choice to believe him, even the doctor said maybe it was a mistake so im praying its right!!!

I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but I'll try!

Is this a "normal" gyno that you are going to, or a specialist? I see in your signature that you've been TTC since 2009. Is this your first chat with a doctor about infertility?

My first infertility-related gyno appointment was harmless. My husband wasn't with me, and the doctor and I just talked about what was going on - cycle length, health history, etc. By that point, my husband had already had a SA (semen analysis).

I'm not "that old," but old enough (31) that they were willing to put me on meds right away. At that point we'd be TTC for 7-8 months. I did 5 cycles of Clomid, then with no results, and was then referred to a fertility specialist.

I think your experience may be different than mine, however, as I live in the US. However, if this is your first appointment, I wouldn't be worried. If they do an exam, it's akward but not awful....and at least for me it was quick.

Hope this helps!

My first visit was much like Lizzy's. We had been ttc for 2 1/2 years. I had already had my yearly pap smear so my doctor and I just sat down and talked about my cycles and our bd routine. I too live in the US so not sure about where you live if it'll be the same. Don't sweat it and good luck!
