First night in own room - Not ready!

Me I mean! DD is more than ready as she naps there in the day. But she doesn't fit in her co-sleeper now she rolls around and end up kicking me or getting stuck, so tonight she's going in her room to bed.

But I'm not ready! I wish i could fit her cot in our room but it's too small so I have to put her in her room... It will feel so empty and weird!

I felt like this with DS. We did manage to fit his cot in our room but put him in his own room at 7 months as I think I picked him up in my sleep one night and it freaked me out.

Well that's it! She's in her room, sleeping - Anxious to see how the night goes! I doubt I'll sleep tonight...

Ahh I remember that first night with DS1! I woke up constantly all night, but it soon got easier and more normal. Hope it all goes well

Thanks honeybee! Ii just feels so weird that's she's not going to be "right there" but her room is just opposite ours so it's not that she's far away...

Aaaargh... A few months ago I was saying it was going to be so easy for me to make the transition but now... i think not!

Awwww bless you. I felt exactly the same last week when I put my little lady in her own room. I co slept with her in my bed but as she's now started crawling and my partner caught her almost crawling out of our bed when she should of been sleeping I knew it was time. The first night I hardly slept but she slept better than ever and she's just getting better and better with her sleep. Sometime we have to do what's best for our little ones and forget our feelings. Hope you adjust quickly x

Well I did not sleep well, but seems DD did! She slept right through to 8am! I was amazed when I woke up and realized she was still asleep! Seems like it was time!

I'm glad things went well. We're currently in the process of sorting the nursery (just moved) and will be moving my DS soon. I'm so anxious about it! I think we disturb him a lot though. Let us know how the next few nights go!

That's awesome that she slept that well. I coslept until around 9 months and decided it was time to get my bed back. It's been an month and we still are struggling!
