First ovulation after birth and stopping breastfeeding

So for the past few days I've had cramps which I think are due to me ovulating and when dtd last night it was really uncomfortable? Did any of you ladies experience this during your first ovulation post partum? Was it more painful than usual? With dd I was straight on bc so didn't ovulate or get AF back but we are Ntnp this time. Dtd has not been uncomfortable up until yesterday
