Cant beleive im stumped what to make up but i am!

Looking for some ideas for first purees, thankies :D

We did simple (one ingredient purees) first and than moved onto combination foods. We started with the orange veg first (supposed to be sweeter) than the green ones and than introduced fruit :)

sweet potato
butternut squash
peas
green beans
parsnip (I think that's more popular there than here)
carrot
and for fruits

pears
peaches
prunes
apples
bananas

Remember as well once you go to combine foods that things like potato make are good to go with most things. I would boil and puree up loads of it and freeze it in ice cubes then I could mix it in with things like brocolli, spinach, parsnip etc.

As first puree's we did ...

Sweet Potato & Carrot
Carrot & Parsnip
Cauliflower & Broccoli
Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash

Home Made:
Beets
Green beans
Cherries
Sugar snap peas
Yams
Carrots
Bananas, not much to it, just mashed really well.

Caution! Apricots did not go over well (the homemade)-- they are a bit tart.

Jarred/store bought:
Unsweetened apple sauce
Squash
Wax beans
Peaches
Pears
Peaches

.. all I can think of right now!

carrot and sweet potato is lovely Robyn loves that!
I find the fruit purees too watery so i thickened them with baby rice.

we did like Vickie just one fruit or veg to begin with then we moved on to mixing them together

sweet potato
carrot
parsnip
potato
butternut squash
cauliflower

fruits

pear
apple
banana
mango

sweet potato mixed with apple is really good and pear and parsnip also goes down really well

good luck hun

I still mix baby rice into amelies mash LOL

I had to add baby rice to emmas apple puree as she pulled one hell of a face when I gave her a spoonfull of it normally. It tasted fine to me, but I think it was just too tart for her.
