I had my first test with my RE yesterday. He was very nice. Told me three miscarriages in a year is not normal, duh! But at least I am getting pregnant even if they aren't sticking. He did a ultrasound and so far all looks good. He ordered blood tests for the second day of my AF and then when he comes back to my area next month he is going to do an Saline Sonohysterogram. I'm quite a bit nervous about that. Unfortunately, since he is only here once a month, I may have to go on Birth control pills for one month to keep my uterus lining thin or something. I guess the test is usually done the week after AF arrives, but he won't be able to see me until two weeks after. I'm curious to see how all my blood work turns out. I'm happy so far he hasn't put me on Clomid or any other meds, I really hope not to have to take these, but we will see. Anyway that is where I am now.

I asked about any special fertility vitamins for my or DH and the only thing he recommends is prenatals for me. He said most of the other vitamins are a waste of money and can mess things up for people with normal cycles. He said DH should just take a regular multivitamin too. Also, NO IBUPROFEN or other NSAID's, which sucks because I had a root canal two days ago and I am in so much pain. I do have vicodin though which he said is better than ibuprofen.

Anyone had the saline ultrasound done? How bad was it?

Hi!
I have had the saline sono whatever it's called lol... It honestly wasn't bad at all!
The beginning part is just like a pap ( with the speculum) and then they insert the catheter thru your cervix. This was the only part I felt any discomfort, but it was minimal, and once the catheter was in place, I didnt feel it anymore. Felt a bit crampy for maybe 20 seconds during the proceedure but honesty it wasn't bad at all. Way worse in your head. It's quick too! I think the worst part was at the end when the salene comes back out!!! I wasn't expecting that at all! More of a dignity thing lol! Not painful though. You'll be fine. Goodluck!

Thanks luvtorun. That is good to hear it's not so bad. I have a month until the test and I'm trying not to freak myself out, I do not do well with pain...though childbirth will be much worse, haha!
