Hey Ladies,
I am about 14-15 dpo. I have been feeling really nauseous and have noticed some breast changes. Wed night I took a First Response test and it was BFP. The line was faint but it was there. I took another First Response this morning and it as definitely BFP, again faint but darker then last time. I also took a ClearBlue Digital this morning that was BFN. Has anyone used these 2 tests? Am I pregnant or is it still a maybe?
Thanks!

i think the clear blue digi are less sensitive. Fx for you

did u use the same urine for your frer and your digi? I know that digis are less sensitive, and frer are the most sensitive, so it may be just that. And, if you used different urine, perhaps your urine was more dilute with the digi? IDK. I'd get bloodwork done, or wait another day.

Thanks! I used the same urine for both - collected it in a cup. My AF is due on Mon so I was going to test again then. But the not knowing is killing me :)

Yeh FRER's are much more sensitive than Digi's hun, think FRER have been tested as low as 12.5miu but digi's are 50miu :hugs:

I agree with the other responses who say they think you're pregnant. Digis aren't always as sensitive. Sounds like the FRER tests just detected it earlier. Congrats!

i wouldnt even dream of doing a digi until af was late cos i know this would happen, you are defo pregnant, its just digis are not that sensitive. Congrats hun! x x

With my last pregnancy, I started testing at 8 dpo and getting light lines with FR. By 11 dpo, the lines weren't super dark, but the digital finally read PREGNANT! Good luck!

I think it's just cause FRER is far more sensitive. If that's come up positive, I'd wait 2-3 days and try again with the digi. Good luck and :dust: for you!

I got positives on answer brand at 12dpo and positives on clearblue but a "no" on a digi at 14dpo and at 16dpo I got a "yes" on a digi.

First Response and Clearblue digitals both detect at 25mIU.

Did you use the same urine batch?

It's completely possible that you had a faulty digi. I wouldn't discredit the FRER since you've already had 2 positives. I'd just wait a day or two and test again!
Congratulations.

This is my second pregnancy and for both I had positives on FRERs at least 3-4 days before I got a positive on a CB digi with conception indicator. I don't know about the sensitivities of the tests but that is my personal experience and I was definitely pregnant both times. I think congrats are in order!! H&H 9 months!!

Thanks everyone!! This had made me feel a lot better :) I am so excited!! This is our first.

first response is not 25mIU. They are around 11 which is why you can test up to 6days before missed af.

FRER used to to be sensitive to 12.5mIU [in lab tests], but then they switched back to 25mIU because of costs [I called and confirmed this with the companhy]
