First round clomid failure

Im day 24 of my cycle and was took clomid 50mg day 5-9 and just got my progesterone results which were <0.7 which is basically a big fat zero Im trying to remain positive bad i just want to curl up and cry.

Im waiting to hear from my specialist with what the next step is but i was wondering if there is anyone who is/was in the same situation as me and whether you were told to take the same dose for the next cycle or your dose was increased?

I was

I was upped to 100mg, good strong ovulation following, and 2 follicles one side, next round just one.

Mummytoangels i had my progesterone levels done at day 21 of my cycle, is that what you mean? ive read about having a hcg injection with clomid, should i request that with my next cycle or just go along with what the specialist recommends? My specialist is one to take the slow approach but i wanted a baby yesterday dammit! lol

I was, I felt like you, hopes raised to new heights only to be dashed. I did 3 rounds of clomid all 50, I fell pregnant on my first "natural" cycle after that, good luck x

Do u no when u O'd hon? The reason I am asking is cause if u O'd later in ur cycle, for example CD18, then ur CD21 bloods is going to show that u didn't O when in fact u did. The bloods r meant to b taken at 7DPO. Nd yes I would b asking for the trigger shot

as far as i know i didnt ovulate. I had no temp rise or OPK

My first round of clomid wasn't much better. However, I did get a positive OPK and temp rise. My blood levels showed no ovulation on CD 21. My GYN wanted to up me to 100mg on round 2 but I opted to go to a fertility specialist. He said he doesn't do progesterone levels because they can be so inconsistent. He's confident by looking at my cycle that I did O on 50mg even tho the blood said no. So, I'm on round 2 of 50mg.

First question my specialist asked me is how soon do I want to be pregnant....my answer was like yesterday. He told me that its my choice as to how aggressive we want to be. He recommended the trigger shot. That way we can guarantee the egg is released. Plus they are monitoring the follicles to insure they are maturing they way they should. Your doc may have a slow approach but this is your body, you get to tell them what you want. If he refused, find another doc.

yeah my dr isnt very aggressive lol. she was happy for my body to have a period rather than induce. But as my cycles are very irregular (every 2-4mths) and i wanted to have some control of the situation i basically demanded the meds lol
I think ill ask for the trigger shot for my next round as i dont think i can do this another month and not even ovulate

After talking to my dr regarding my day 21 prog levels after clomid 50mg day 5-9 which were 0.7 she has increased my clomid to 100mg for the next cycle. Fingers crossed that this gives my ovaries a much needed kickstart!!

Hopefully the side effects i experienced on the 50 arent double

Weird thing is when i test for ovulation (i use the first response urine dipsticks) i always have the 2nd line show up, although its never as dark as the control line. Today i am day 34 and im now taking primolit to start AF and the 2nd line was about 75% of the darkness of the control line. Does anyone else get this?

Take a pregnancy test hon, esp b4 trying to jump start ur AF.
