Hi Ladies,

My DH and I have been TTC #1 for 15 months. My GP referred me to a specialist a few months back and the hospital called me out of the blue yesterday to offer me an appointment for this afternoon.

I was diagnosed with PCOS a number of years ago and as a result have irregular cycles. What the specialist told me today though, was that although I sometimes get 'periods', I don't actually ovulate. I didn't even know this was possible, and now feel like a bit of a numpty who is completely clueless about the whole thing

Anyhow, the good news is, she prescribed me 3 cycles worth of Clomid, so I have my fingers firmly crossed. Just wanted to hear from anyone that's one a similar journey/wants to share their stories etc x

Hey :hugs:

Firstly I'm sorry you're here in LTTTC! I hope we don't keep you for long :winkwink:

I don't have PCOS and we are currently in the 'unexplained' category, but I was prescribed Clomid to make my ovulation stronger, as I already ovulate on my own but the FS said I was going to give it a little bit of a 'push' in the right direction.

Our first round of clomid failed, and I had a bit of a LTTTC breakdown, and took last month off, but AF arrived today, so round numero dos of Clomid starts tomorrow for me  so we'll be taking it at the same time.

I didn't get any really bad side effects last time round, so I'm hoping tomorrow brings non either!

Fingers tightly crossed for you :flower:

welcome aboard hun :hugs:

I was given clomid when I had my second IUI even tho I ovulate on my own...I had 4 follicles in one ovary and 3 in the other, after taking it on CD 3-7!! so it really does pop those eggs out :haha:

I only had hot flashes and bitchy episodes (or more bitchy episodes than usual ) when I was on it, and had a bit of pain in my ovaries, but it wasn't too bad!

Hopefully the clomid will help you produce beautiful juicy eggs that will help you get your BFP! :hugs:

Oh my poor husband, I too have mood swings at the best of times, so I feel for him ha ha.

I wish you ladies success, and hope that you both get your BFP's soon :)
